A native of St. Martin parish, Dr. Alex Fuselier attended Teurlings Catholic High School and received his B.S., Magna Cum Laude, from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette while playing baseball under Coach Tony Robichaux. He was selected by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 2011 MLB Draft. He earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine in Shreveport, LA, and completed his Urology Residency at LSU Health Shreveport. He is a member of the American Urological Association, the Louisiana State Medical Society, American Medical Association, Sexual Medicine Society of North America, and the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He is trained in general urology including pediatrics, men’s health, prosthetics, female incontinence/prolapse surgery. He has special interest in complex stone disease, endourology, BPH surgery, erectile dysfunction, as well as minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery for management of both benign and malignant disease. He has published peer reviewed journal articles and presented at national meetings. In addition to urology, he enjoys spending time with his wife and children. He is a lifetime outdoorsman. He loves duck/goose hunting, bowhunting, and fishing.
