Urologist in Lafayette, LA
A native of Lafayette, Dr. Jason Bourque attended St. Thomas More Catholic High School and received his B.A. and M.Ed., Magna Cum Laude, from Vanderbilt University while competing in Collegiate Athletics. He earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans, LA, and completed his urology residency at Baylor Scott and White Texas A&M Health Science Center in Temple, TX. He completed a urologic oncology fellowship at City of Hope National Cancer Center in Duarte, CA. He is a member of the American Urological Association, Louisiana State Medical Society, Society of Urologic Oncology, and American Medical Association. He has special interest in urology oncology treating kidney, ureteral, bladder, prostate, and testicular cancer. He also has interests in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic surgery as well as general urology, men’s health, female incontinence/prolapse, endourology and stone disease. In addition to urology, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He also loves to travel, hike and fish.
